The history of World Travel

World Travel was founded in the late 1950's and has grown from a small family-run travel agency into an innovative travel management company.

We opened our doors in the early days of accessible, commercial travel. Through the 1940’s commercial air travel was reserved for the elite, but as World Travel was born, so was a revolution within the industry itself. World Travel instantly became a guide to this exciting yet foreign landscape.

Throughout the decades World Travel has seen many shifts in the travel process, but the desire for exceptional experiences still remains. So does the family-owned, above-and-beyond service, with our current owner, Alex Eaton, purchasing the business with his father in 1997. It’s qualities like these that have made us the largest agency in the state of Oklahoma, and one of the top 50 in the nation.

Which types of travel do you plan?

Over the past sixty years, we’ve gained experience in every type of travel. Tropical getaways, cruises, road trips, film productions, business meetings, group air services - you name it. Perhaps one day we’ll even offer vacation packages to the moon!
How much do these services cost?

We pre-negotiate rates for Corporate Travel management and charge a small, fixed fee for experiences like vacation travel. These costs are often outweighed by the savings, benefits, and promotions that are provided by World Travel. If you have any questions about our pricing model, give us a call.
Do you work with large groups?

Absolutely! Whether you’re planning a business conference or pulling together a family reunion, we’re highly experienced in both professional and personal group travel. We even have a Groups & Events page dedicated to all types of large group experiences.
How will COVID-19 affect my travels?

Our team is closely monitoring COVID-19 travel protocols for any updates or changes. When you work with a World Travel agent or advisor, they will keep you confident and informed. Our General Resource Center is also a helpful place to visit.
